Michele is the General Manager for Castle Hill Fitness 360 and joined the IHRSA Board of Directors in June of 2018. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Austin Community College and a Master Trainer for Total Gym. Her certifications include: Group Exercise Instructor (ACE), Personal Trainer (ACE), Cancer Exercise Specialist. She also earned ACSM certification in 1984.
Michele¡¯s career in the fitness industry spans over 30 years and includes a wide variety of roles including: general manager, corporate fitness director, customer service director, sales manager, group ex director, personal trainer and group exercise instructor.
She was the Executive Director for THRSA (Texas Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association) from 2003 through 2014. She is a member of the IHRSA Institute faculty and sits on the Advisory Board for the IHRSA Institute.
Michele is an experienced fitness industry conference presenter (IHRSA, Club Industry, Dallas Mania, Midwest Mania, Philadelphia Mania, NEHRSA Conference and BAM).
She earned her Bachelor¡¯s degree in Biology from the University of Michigan and a Master¡¯s degree in Human Performance from the University of Missouri.
She was the National Arthritis Foundation¡¯s 2011 Honoree in recognition of her experience with osteoarthritis, having both hips replaced at the age of 48. ?Michele has become a resource for individuals in preventing, preparing and/or recovering from joint replacement, who want to stay active.
