The Chinese sports and fitness industry is entering a new golden decade. To promote the high-quality development of the fitness industry, the two-day 2024 Beijing International Health and Fitness Expo and the 12th CHINAFIT Beijing Fitness Convention concluded on May 12th at National Convention Center in Beijing.

During the same period, an array of conferences including the inaugural meeting of Sports and Fitness Industry Committee in the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Commercial Industry Chamber, the Commercial Fitness Conference, the Fitness Equipment Cross-border E-commerce Conference, the Studio Conference, the First National Sports Development Summit, the Sports Industry Conference, the Pilates and Yoga Conference, the Youth Sports Conference, and the Vegetarian Carnival, among other themed events. 

This convention was guided by CCOIC Commercial Industry and supported by various organizations, including the China Bodybuilding Association, the Chinese Ethnic Minority Sports Association, the Beijing Bodybuilding Association, the Beijing Sports and Leisure Industry Association Fitness Industry Branch, and Beijing Sport University Enterprise Management Co., Ltd.

Meng Qianghua, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau; Lang Xiaolei, Member of the 14th Beijing CPPCC and Member of the Beijing CPPCC Public Fitness Supervision, and Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of Foreign Trade; Zhang Haifeng, Chairman of the China Bodybuilding Association; and Yan Sihai, Founder of the event organizer CHINAFIT, delivered speeches.

To fully leverage the combined advantages of enterprises and academic institutions and establish a collaborative mechanism for cultivating talents between universities and businesses, Beijing Sport University Business School and the CHINAFIT organizer have jointly established the "Beijing Sport University Off-Campus Education and Intern Program".

To further promote the integration of China's sports and fitness industry with the global industry chain, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Sub-Council (CCPIT) hosted the inaugural meeting of the "Sports and Fitness Industry Committee" during the conference. The meeting invited think tank experts, industry advisors, representatives from sports administrative departments, university representatives, and many institutional and individual members from fitness equipment manufacturers, clubs, and studios. Appointment Letters were issued to the first batch of think tank experts, industry advisors, vice-president, executive directors, institutional members, and individual members present at the inaugural meeting.

This year's CHINAFIT Beijing Fitness Convention was located across the 1st floor and the 3rd floor. The 1st floor featured a special exhibition hall for cross-border e-commerce fitness and sports equipment, while the 3rd floor area was offering 200 exciting educational sessions guided by top instructors in fitness, Pilates, yoga, and rehabilitation. A vegetarian carnival was also hosted on the 3rd floor.

Five major competitions on the 1st floor included CBBA China Fitness and Bodybuilding Rookie Competition, CBBA PRO China Fitness and Bodybuilding Elite Professional League, Beijing Bodybuilding Open, Capital University Students Fitness and Bodybuilding Competition, and CFC Fitness Competition.

The Commercial Fitness Conference gathered numerous renowned domestic sports equipment manufacturers, offering various forums and education sessions on operations and management.

The Cross-Border Fitness Equipment E-Commerce Conference, with the center of Ecosystem Innovation Summit, aimed to support the overseas expansion of sports and fitness e-commerce in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The Studio Conference saw the presence of numerous senior coaches, training instructors, and operations experts in fitness, Pilates, yoga, and rehabilitation. They showcased their pivotal roles in promoting sustained industry.

The Sports Industry Conference brought together nearly 100 deans from sports universities, event organizers, and senior corporate representatives. They engaged in multidimensional discussions on topics such as the integration of sports events with schools, industry standards for the sports and fitness sector, talent development in sports education, and the cultural and brand-building of sports and fitness enterprises.

The Pilates and Yoga Conference attracted well-known exhibitors and leaders from the domestic Pilates and yoga sectors, demonstrating the significant role of yoga and Pilates in fulfilling the physical, mental, and spiritual health needs of people.

CHINAFIT Fitness Conference has always focused on youth sports. This year's conference particularly emphasized sensory integration training for children, youth fitness competitions, emergency and safety training, and the profitability models of gym and school-based sports training institutions.

The Vegan Festival drew attentions from manufacturers, sellers, distributors, and food service in the field of pure vegan and plant-based food.
